Joseph Farrar has a wide range of experience in software engineering and development. Joseph is currently working as the VP of Software Engineering at NUWAVE Communications, Inc, where they have been since February 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Software Engineering at the same company from July 2021 to February 2023. Before joining NUWAVE Communications, Inc, Joseph was the Senior Software Architect at the company from January 2021 to July 2021.
Joseph's previous experience includes serving as the Founder of JoeDeveloper.NET since 2000. Joseph was also the Director of Research & Development at Harris Recording Solutions from December 2018 to January 2021, where they provided guidance and leadership to a development team and implemented change management processes. Before that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at the same company from June 2017 to December 2018.
From February 2010 to January 2017, Joseph worked as a Senior Software Engineer on contract for the Clark County Recorder's office. During this time, they developed various platforms, including an eCommerce platform and a mobile site, and designed and developed a marriage certificate kiosk. Joseph has also worked at Sterling Software Inc as a Senior Software Engineer from October 2009 to February 2010. Prior to that, they were a Software Engineer at eBizAutos from January 2009 to October 2009, where they developed software solutions and automated video production.
From May 2008 to January 2009, Joseph worked as the Applications Development Manager at VMDirect, LLC, where they managed the Applications group and maintained e-commerce applications. Before that, they served as a Senior Applications Developer at the same company from May 2007 to May 2008, focusing on application and system development and R&D of products.
Joseph's earlier experience includes working as a Senior Application Developer at CommPartners from May 2006 to April 2007, where they developed critical business applications and worked on telecom industry processes. Joseph was also a Web Developer at Anexeon Communications from September 2005 to May 2006, and a Web/Graphic Designer at Performance Marketing Associates from May 2005 to August 2005, where they designed and developed branding materials for home communities.
Joseph Farrar attended the College of Southern Nevada from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Multimedia Web Design. Apart from their formal education, Joseph has obtained various certifications in the field of technology. In January 2021, they received the certification of Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft. In February 2021, they acquired the MS-100 Microsoft 365 Identity and Services certification and the Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate certification, both provided by Microsoft. In October 2021, Joseph obtained two certifications related to Zoom technology: Zoom Phone Administration and Zoom Phone Specialist, which were granted by Zoom.
