John Walsh has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. John started as an Electrician at Arnold & Blevins Electric Co., Inc. in 2002, where they focused on underground and overhead installations and troubleshooting circuits. In 2009, they transitioned to the City of Little Rock, initially as a Signal Technician and later as a Signal Repair Technician. In this role, they completed numerous projects on time and on budget, wrote status and financial reports, and assisted in budget forecasting. From 2015 to 2016, John worked as a Project Coordination Intern at Associated Energy Developers, aiding in proposal creation, contract negotiation, and maintaining project status. John then joined MBTA as a Student Fellow, supporting the study of the MBTA's Small Business Program management and analyzing financial reports. In 2016, they became a Project Manager - National Accounts at ENGIE Services U.S., overseeing projects with a gross value of $2.6M in 2018. John managed five projects for one client, resulting in significant energy and cost savings. John continued their project management career at Eco Engineering, Inc. in 2020, and as a Senior Project Manager at NuWave Energy Solutions in 2023.

John Walsh has a diverse education history spanning various fields. From 2014 to 2016, they attended UMass Boston, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Management with a focus on Finance. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2007, they studied at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, earning an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Construction Management. During the same period, they also pursued journeyman electrician training at the Arkansas Construction Education Foundation.

In addition to their formal education, John has acquired various certifications. In December 2022, they obtained the OSHA 30 certification from ClickSafety, indicating their expertise in occupational safety and health standards. Moreover, in May 2016, they obtained the General Journeyman Electrician (J) certification from the State of New Hampshire Office of Professional Licensure, solidifying their credentials in the electrical industry.
