John Lind

John Lind, CPA, CIA, MBA has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. John started their career as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and served for six years. Following their military service, John worked at PwC as an Administrative Assistant and later as an Auditor. John then joined Weirton Steel Corporation as a Senior Auditor before moving to KPMG as a Senior Auditor.

In 2002, John joined The Schwan Food Company, where they held various roles, including Senior Manager of Internal Audit, Senior Director of Ethics & Compliance, and Vice President of Risk Services (Chief Auditor). During their time at The Schwan Food Company, John provided strategic direction, oversaw various functions such as Internal Audit, SOX compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, and Ethics and Compliance, and provided updates to the Board of Directors on these activities.

In 2012, John joined Brookshire Grocery Company as the Director of Internal Audit and Risk Management. In this role, they led the strategic direction and execution of internal audit, provided updates to the Board of Directors, and created a strategy for enhancing the value proposition of internal audit.

Most recently, John has been working at NV Energy as the Director of Internal Audit.

John Lind, CPA, CIA, MBA, earned their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a major in Accounting from Robert Morris University in 1996. John then went on to complete their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Pittsburgh in 2002. In addition to their educational qualifications, John has obtained certifications such as Certified Control Self Assessment, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Public Accountant (Pennsylvania and Texas), and Certified Risk Management Assurance from various institutions, including the Institute Of Internal Auditors.
