Shahzad Lateef is a seasoned professional in the energy sector with extensive experience at NV Energy, where tenure began in March 1995 and continues to the present. Currently serving as Senior Director of Transmission Development and Policy, Shahzad is instrumental in developing crucial regional transmission infrastructure and building Nevada’s Greenlink transmission system. Previous roles include Vice President positions overseeing Electric Delivery and Transmission, showcasing expertise in strategic leadership, grid reliability, transmission planning, and operations technology. With a strong technical background, Shahzad has effectively managed distribution and transmission operations and led compliance initiatives for NERC standards. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, both from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
