Carl Henderson

Carl Henderson, PhD, PE, GE has a diverse work experience in the field of geotechnical engineering. Carl currently holds the position of Chief Diversity Officer / VP - Geotechnical Services West at NV5 since March 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Diversity Officer / SoCal Construction Quality Assurance Group Director at NV5 from July 2020. From June 2018 to July 2020, they were the Construction Quality Assurance Group Director (San Diego) at NV5.

Before joining NV5, Carl worked at Kleinfelder as a Project Manager/Principal Geotechnical Engineer from November 2005 to May 2018. Carl also served as the Stockton, CA Operations Leader at Kleinfelder from April 2009 to August 2017.

Their earlier work experience includes working as a Geotechnical Engineer at American Geotechnical & Environmental Services, Inc. from May 1997 to October 2005.

In addition to their professional career, Carl also has experience serving in the US Army Reserve and Pennsylvania Army National Guard as an Infantry Officer from May 1991 to December 2000.

Carl Henderson, PhD, PE, GE holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. Carl also has a Master's degree in the same field from the University of Pittsburgh.
