John Cook

John Cook is a seasoned expert in technology consulting with extensive experience across various roles. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Managing Principal at NV5 since October 2001, John leads North America's technology consulting efforts, specializing in areas such as audiovisual systems, IT/telecom, and building security, following NV5's acquisition of The Sextant Group in 2019. John previously held the title of Vice President at The Sextant Group, focusing on technology consulting services from 2001 to 2020. In addition to consulting, John contributed as a Tech & Trends Columnist for Facilities Manager magazine and served as a faculty member at APPA's Institute of Facilities Management, teaching technology-related courses. Early career experiences include positions as an Audiovisual Project/Sales Engineer at Pro Com Systems and Allied Telecom, as well as teaching roles at Purdue University, where John earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Educational Technology.
