Matt Ludwig, PE, AICP, WEDG has over 15 years of work experience in the field of civil engineering and planning. Matt is currently serving as a Principal Engineer & Planner at NV5 since February 2016. Prior to this, they worked as a Transportation Project Manager at Stewart from August 2013 to January 2016. Matt also gained valuable experience as a Transportation Engineer at HDR from May 2008 to August 2013, where they worked on various transportation projects including municipal streets, mainlane freeway schematics, and modern streetcar designs. Matt started their career as a Civil Engineering Department Teaching Assistant at Iowa State University from January 2006 to May 2008. Matt also worked as a Corridor Department Intern at TranSystems in 2007 and as a Civil Engineering Intern at Master in 2006. Matt began their professional journey as a Survey Department Intern at Snyder and Associates in 2004. Matt's early experience also includes working as an Intern at Crawford County Engineer's Office in 2003.
Matt Ludwig, PE, AICP, WEDG, received their Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation from Iowa State University, where they studied from 2003 to 2008. Matt has also obtained certifications as a Professional Engineer from the State of Pennsylvania in 2016 and as a Waterfront Edge Design Guidelines (WEDG) Associate from the Waterfront Alliance in 2022. Additionally, they are a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. Matt is also a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New Jersey.
