Jonas Sandgren

Jonas Sandgren is an experienced professional in the field of renewable energy and sustainable solutions, currently serving as a special adviser at the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate since August 2011, where responsibilities include managing institution building programs in developing countries. Previously, Jonas held significant roles such as a member of the Investment Committee for the Renewable Energy and Adaptation to Climate Change (REACT) at the African Enterprise Challenge Fund, and a board member at Langlee Wave Power AS. Additional experience includes serving as a special adviser and R&D coordinator at SWECO Norway, focusing on business and technology development, capacity building, and analyses related to renewable energy. Jonas's earlier positions include export manager at KanEnergi AS, senior engineer at Det Norske Veritas, and researcher at the Institute for Energy Technology. Jonas holds a Master's degree in Engineering Physics from Chalmers University of Technology, earned between 1976 and 1984.
