Jonathan Cohen

Jonathan Cohen is a seasoned professional in applied research and AI technologies, currently serving as VP of Applied Research at NVIDIA since September 2018. With significant experience in large language model software, AI safety, and genomics, Jonathan's leadership has resulted in key developments such as BioNeMo, NeMo framework, and Riva. Jonathan previously held roles as Senior Director of AI Software at NVIDIA, where Jonathan led conversational AI algorithms, and as Director of Engineering for AI/Autonomous Technologies at Apple, where multiple algorithm R&D teams were established. In earlier positions, Jonathan was instrumental in founding NVIDIA's deep learning software organization and directed significant projects in the visual effects industry. Jonathan holds a Sc. B in Math and Computer Science from Brown University, obtained in 2000.
