Kelvin Lee, PhD, is an accomplished AI Research Scientist and Senior Scientific Machine Learning Engineer with extensive experience in scientific research and development. Currently employed at NVIDIA since June 2025, Kelvin focuses on optimizing high-performance computing (HPC) AI/ML workflows for chemistry and materials science and has served as the lead architect for the Open MatSciML Toolkit. Kelvin previously held positions at Intel Corporation, Intel Labs, and the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, contributing to significant projects in physical chemistry, materials science, and astronomy, resulting in numerous peer-reviewed publications. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from UNSW and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Sydney.
