James Holbery has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. James is currently the CEO, President, and Founder of Nvirovate Materials Inc., where they have introduced an innovative soy-based adhesive portfolio that is environmentally friendly and competitively priced. Prior to this, Holbery founded Bendshape Mask LLC, where they served as the COO and played a key role in conceptualizing and implementing the business plan for the company's mask manufacturing operations. Their leadership resulted in the company receiving media attention both nationally and internationally.
Holbery's previous experience includes working as a Material-Mechanical Engineer at Front Load Technology, Inc., where they developed the BendShape Sensor and secured funding for the project. James also held positions at Microsoft as a HW Research Manager and Principal Engineer, GridMobility as the President and Founder, and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory as a Staff Scientist and Group Leader. At Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Holbery led various programs and projects, including the development of innovative products such as 3D inkjet printed fuel membrane electrode assemblies and composite window frame structures for the Boeing 787.
Additionally, Holbery has worked as an Adjunct Professor at Washington State University and Oregon State University, where they shared their expertise in materials science. James also contributed to the start-up team at Seattle Medical Technologies, where they were involved in the development of the Finesse insulin delivery device. Earlier in their career, they served as a Senior Material Scientist at Sienna Technologies, Inc.
James Holbery holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Material Science & Engineering from the University of Washington.
