Craig Harvey

Craig Harvey has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Their most recent position was as the Founder, President, and CEO of Magnolia Business Alliance since June 2010. Prior to that, Craig worked at NVision Solutions, Inc, where they held various roles including COO/Exec VP and Executive VP/CIO from 2002 to 2006.

Before their tenure at NVision Solutions, Craig worked at PixSell Inc as a GIS Specialist/CTO from 1999 to 2002. Craig was responsible for leading technical projects such as the MSView project, Precision Ag software project, and providing support for Intermap's GT server.

Prior to PixSell Inc, Craig worked at USGS in different capacities. From 1997 to 1999, they served as a GIS Specialist and Mississippi District GIS Specialist, providing GIS support, teaching GIS instruction, and supporting district staff. From 1986 to 1997, they served as the Iowa District GIS Specialist, where they maintained and improved GIS data holdings and developed project plans for spatial analysis and mapping.

Before joining USGS, Craig worked as a GIS Specialist/Hydrological Technician at US Geological Survey from 1988 to 1999, where they were responsible for spatial analysis, map making, and graphic output for hydro-logic projects. Craig also worked as a GIS Specialist at US Geological Survey, WRD from 1986 to 1999.

Craig's early work experience includes serving as a Sergeant in the US Marine Corps from 1980 to 1984. Overall, Craig has a strong background in GIS, technical leadership, project management, and executive roles.

Craig Harvey earned an AA degree in Business Management from Central Texas College from 1981 to 1983. Craig then pursued a BA degree at the University of Iowa, majoring in Geography and Environmental Science from 1986 to 1996. Craig completed their education at the University of Iowa from 1992 to 1998, earning another BA degree, this time in Geography.
