Dries Buyck

Dries Buyck is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in threat detection and security engineering. Currently serving as the Threat Detection Engineering Lead at NVISO Security since February 2024, Dries previously held significant roles at Verizon from August 2017 to February 2024, focusing on security research, log analysis, and adversary simulation. Dries has also contributed as a Senior Engineer in Network Security and Lead Consultant in Network and Information Security at Verizon Enterprise Solutions, and has a rich background as a Security Engineer at IBM and a Consultant at Verizon Business. Dries began the cybersecurity career as a Security Analyst at Ubizen, progressing through various roles and responsibilities. Dries holds a degree in Industrial Informatics from HOGENT and completed a complementary study in Business Economics at Ghent University.
