Asher Chen

Asher Chen, CPA, has a diverse accounting background with extensive experience across multiple companies. Currently serving as an Accounting Analyst 3 at NW Natural since October 2021, Asher has developed automated processes using PowerQuery and Excel Tables, and implemented new accounting systems under SOX controls. Previous roles include Senior Accountant at Chalice Brands Ltd., where consolidated financial statements were prepared in compliance with IFRS, and at The Green Cities Company, where closing processes were rebuilt for efficiency. Asher's experience also includes significant work in predictive analytics at New Credit America and improvements in cloud-based solutions at McDonald Jacobs, P.C. Asher holds an MBA in Business from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Portland State University.
