Karen Hayson

Karen Hayson has extensive experience in accounting and technical accounting compliance. Karen began their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1999, where they worked as a Manager until 2009. Karen then joined Schnitzer Steel, holding various roles such as Senior Technical Accounting Analyst, Technical Accounting Manager, and Senior Manager, Technical Accounting and SOX Compliance. In 2016, Karen Hayson joined NW Natural as the Accounting Director.

Karen Hayson attended The University of Waikato from 1996 to 1999, where they obtained their Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) with Honors in Accounting. In addition, they hold a Chartered Accountant certification from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Karen also completed the Energy Executive Course at the University of Idaho, although the specific month and year of completion are unknown.
