Mike Watkins

Mike Watkins began their work experience in 1993 with the Florida Department of Children and Families, starting as a Protective Services Counselor and progressing through various roles to eventually become District Administrator. During their time with the department, they effectively managed programmatic goals, maintained relationships with community stakeholders, and promoted staff development. In 2005, Watkins joined NWF Health Network as Chief Executive Officer, overseeing a diverse private entity with over 300 employees and a network of vendors comprising over 5,000 employees. Mike currently manages an annual budget of over $250 million to provide health, managed care, and child protection services in 18 North Florida counties. In 2023, Watkins joined the Republican Party of Florida as Vice Chair of Chairs.

Mike Watkins attended Culver-Stockton College from 1988 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Mike also holds additional certifications including Certified Child Protection Worker from the Florida Certification Board in 2009 and Six Sigma Black Belt Certification - Level I from Competitive Technologies, Inc. in 1997.
