Alicia Flynn

Alicia Flynn has a diverse range of work experience in the field of human resources. Alicia started their career as an HR Administrative Assistant at Cadbury Adams in 2004 and then transitioned to a Human Resources Coordinator role at IMAX in 2005. In 2007, Alicia became a Human Resources Business Partner at Carillion Canada Inc., where they managed the HR function for a division of approximately 1,500 employees. Alicia joined the University Health Network in 2012 as a Senior Human Resources Advisor before moving to the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) as a Human Resources Manager in the same year. At CPA Ontario, they were responsible for various HR functions, including full-cycle recruitment, performance management, training, and health & safety. Alicia subsequently joined the Nuclear Waste Management Organization in 2016 as a Human Resources Manager. Throughout their career, they have been involved in various projects, such as departmental and change management initiatives, job evaluation, HR metrics, and centralizing functions. Alicia also has experience in delivering training on performance management systems.

Alicia Flynn began their education at the University of Toronto - Victoria University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree. Alicia attended the university from 1999 to 2003. Following their undergraduate studies, Alicia enrolled in Centennial College from 2003 to 2004 to obtain a Certificate in HR Management.

In terms of additional certifications, Alicia obtained the Certified Talent Management Practitioner (CTMP) designation from the Canadian HR Academy in March 2019. Prior to this, in June 2008, they earned the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) certification from the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists. Earlier in their career, in June 2006, Alicia obtained the Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) certification from the HRPA - Human Resources Professionals Association.
