Newell & Wright Transport was formed in 1974 by Frank Newell and Paul Wright. In those early days, they were a small general haulage company, operating from rented premises. Over the following years they have grown substantially in size, resulting in the company changing premises three times before moving to the current 6.5 acre freehold site at Tinsley, Sheffield in 1987. 

These days, the Newell & Wright Group is a multimillion pound company with excellent financial status, it encompasses their haulage, 2 rail yards, Road Tanker manufacturing sites and Apollo fuel company.

They employ over 400 personnel all over the UK, many of whom have remained with the company as we have expanded.
