Erik Roesink

CTO - Chief Technology Officer at NX Filtration

Erik Roesink has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Erik is currently the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) at NX Filtration BV since May 2019. Prior to this, they were the Founder and General Manager of NX Filtration BV from January 2016 to April 2019. At NX Filtration, they focused on the development and production of innovative filtration membranes for water treatment processes.

Before joining NX Filtration, Erik was a Professor of Advanced Membranes for Aqueous Applications at the University of Twente from October 2012. Their research focused on polymeric membranes and their application in water treatment.

From 2011 to February 2019, Erik also served as a Member of the Supervisory Board at Het Roessingh. In addition, they founded and served as the Managing Director of SOMUT from April 2014 to December 2015.

During their tenure at Pentair X-Flow from October 2011 to April 2013, Erik held the position of Director of Strategic Innovation and Business Development. Erik was responsible for generating breakthrough business growth opportunities and introducing existing membrane concepts in new markets. Prior to that, they served as the Director of R&D at Norit X-Flow from July 2008 to May 2011.

Erik's career also includes their role as the Managing Director of X-Flow from November 1998 to June 2008. Erik played an instrumental role in the company's profitability and achieved a significant return on sales. Erik held various functions at X-Flow from June 1989 to October 1998 and also worked in the R&D department from March 1985 to May 1989.

Furthermore, Erik served as a Member of the Advisory Board at ZGT, Hengelo, Almelo from June 2001 to April 2008. Erik began their professional journey as a Math Teacher at Twickel College from August 1977 to June 1985. During this time, they were actively involved in modernizing the curriculum.

Erik Roesink completed their secondary education at HBS Deventer from 1965 to 1970. Erik then pursued their undergraduate studies at the University of Twente from 1970 to 1977, where they obtained a degree in Membrane Technology. Later, from 1985 to 1989, they returned to the University of Twente to undertake further studies and earned a Dr. Ir. degree in the same field.
