Gerry McAnally

Gerry McAnally is an experienced intellectual property professional currently serving as VP and Head of IP at Nxera Pharma since September 2022. Previously, Gerry held multiple roles at Gyroscope Therapeutics from January 2018 to August 2022, including Vice President of Intellectual Property and Sr. Director, Head of IP. At BTG plc, Gerry worked as a Senior Patent Attorney from September 2011 to December 2017, focusing on IP management and patent enforcement in the interventional vascular sector. Earlier experience includes a decade at Dstl as a Patent Attorney and Research Scientist, along with a post-doctoral research position at the University of Strathclyde. Gerry holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry and a BSc Hons in Forensic & Analytical Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde, along with post-graduate qualifications in Intellectual Property Law and Litigation from Queen Mary University of London and Nottingham Law School, respectively.
