Giulia Montini is a senior scientist in biochemistry at Nxera Pharma, focusing on the biophysical and structural characterization of GPCRs for therapeutic drug development since October 2018. Prior to this, Giulia completed a PhD at Birkbeck, University of London, investigating bacterial voltage-gated sodium channels and their interactions with analgesic drugs. Early career experiences include a laboratory internship at Sapienza Università di Roma, where structural characterization of the human serine hydroxymethyltransferase was performed, and multiple roles as an undergraduate teaching assistant in biochemistry and biology departments. Giulia holds a doctorate in biochemistry, a master’s degree in genetics and molecular biology, and a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, complemented by a scientific high school diploma.
