Lei Zhou began their work experience in 1995 as an Electrical Engineer and Telemetry System Engineering Manager for NARI China Corporation. In 2004, they became a Technical Sales Representative for Solinst. In 2006, they were an Embedded Software Engineer for Intrinsyc. From 2009 to 2017, they worked at Qualcomm Canada as a Staff SW Engineer and Project Lead, where they developed Symbian device drivers for Qualcomm MSM series chipsets, Android device drivers, Linux kernel internals, Android multimedia frameworks, and BT & WIFI networking stacks. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Technical Lead and MTS at the Platform Security Group at AMD, where they worked on Platform Security, ARM TrustZone TEE, Root of Trust and Device Identity, UEFI secure boot, GlobalPlatform APIs, TrustZone secure OS, Trust Applications, Cryptography and DRM, and Premium Content Protection. From 2019 to 2020, they were a Senior System Software Engineer at BlackBerry, where they worked on Run-time OS Integrity measuring/reporting engine utilizing ARM TrustZone Crypto service, Android and Linux OS/framework security hardening, and L4Re microkernel Hypervisor Type-1 virtualization security sandboxing. Currently, they are the Director of IOT and Embed Security and R&D Manager of IOT Platform Security at NXM Labs, Inc., where they work on Autonomous IOT security solutions, ARM Cortex-A & Cortex-M TrustZone extensions and Intel SGX, PSA certification and TFA, TFM, OPTEE, TEE/REE, TA & REE OS hardening for Linux and Windows OS, and modularized SDK/PDK architecting and developing with cross-platform support.
Lei Zhou has a Master of EE in Wireless Communication & DSP from Nanjing University of Science and Technology and attended Fuzhou Middle School.
