John Praveen is a Trustee at Nyack College. John has over 25 years of experience in the financial industry, beginning their career as an Adjunct Professor of Finance at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1989. In 1994, they joined Merrill Lynch as a Vice President and Senior Global Economist, before moving to Credit Suisse in 1997 as Managing Director in charge of Global Equities and Global Balanced portfolios.

During their time at Prudential Financial, John Praveen was responsible for formulating investment strategy and managing portfolios for institutional clients across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

John Praveen earned their Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. John also holds an M.Phil. in Economics from Kakatiya University and a Master's degree in Economics from Osmania University.
