Dr. Irene Ondieki DNP NEA-BC, RN-BC is a seasoned nursing leader currently serving as the Chief Nursing Officer at NYC Health + Hospitals since August 2025. Prior roles include Vice President of Nursing Services at Stamford Health, and Clinical Director of Nursing Services at Montefiore Health System. With a comprehensive background in nursing management, Dr. Ondieki directed daily operations and oversaw a $20M budget at RWJBarnabas Health as Director of Nursing. Other notable experience includes leadership roles at Regency Jewish Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Willow Creek Nursing & Rehab, and hands-on patient care roles in intensive care and telemetry units. Dr. Ondieki holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Grand Canyon University, a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from American Sentinel College, and an Associate's degree in Registered Nursing.
