Kinta Alexander

Kinta Alexander, DrPH, CIC, currently serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Long Island University in the Masters of Public Health program and as the Director of Infection Prevention and Control at NYC Health + Hospitals, specifically at Harlem Hospital. With a strong background in infection control, Kinta held previous positions such as Manager of Infection Prevention and Control at Mount Sinai Health System, Infection Surveillance Officer at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, and Senior Infection Control Coordinator at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center. Kinta's educational qualifications include a Doctor of Public Health from New York Medical College, a Master of Science in Medical Microbiology from Long Island University, a Master of Public Health from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Chemistry from City University of New York-Hunter College. Kinta also contributes to the academic community as an Assistant Professor (Adjunct) in the Biological Sciences Department at Kingsborough Community College.
