Oscar Beijbom

Oscar Beijbom has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Oscar is currently the Co-founder & CTO of Nyckel, a role they have held since January 2021. Prior to that, Oscar founded CoralNet in 2011 and continues to be involved with the company.

From August 2019 to March 2022, Oscar worked at Motional as the Senior Director of Machine Learning. In this role, they were responsible for hiring and managing a machine learning organization, leading research efforts, and deploying models for autonomous vehicles.

Before joining Motional, Oscar worked at nuTonomy from September 2017 to August 2019, initially as a Team Lead Machine Learning/Principal Research Scientist, and then as a Senior Research Scientist. Oscar has also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at UC Berkeley from August 2015 to July 2016.

Oscar's work experience also includes a summer research internship at Microsoft in 2013, where they focused on computer vision and automated calorie estimation methods. Prior to that, they worked as a Lead Engineer at Hövding Sverige AB from 2007 to 2009 and as a Research Assistant at Lund University in 2007.
