Kate Phillis

Kate Phillis has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Kate currently works at Nymbus as the VP of Compliance, a position they have held since February 2024. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Director of Compliance and Director of Compliance at Nymbus. Kate also worked as an Audit & Compliance Advisor at the company.

Before joining Nymbus, Kate owned and operated their own business, Art by Kate, where they worked as an Owner/Artist.

In addition, Kate has experience in the financial services sector. Kate worked at Ruhl Mortgage as a Compliance Officer and Assistant Compliance Officer. Kate also served as a Compliance Officer at Vibrant Credit Union and held various Compliance Specialist roles at the same company.

Earlier in their career, Kate worked as an Internal Compliance Auditor at QCR Holdings, Inc. Kate also gained experience in sales and customer service as a Sales and Service Manager and Teller Coordinator II at U.S. Bank.

Prior to their work in finance, Kate worked at Hills Bank and Trust Company as a Teller Supervisor. Kate also served as an Account Manager at hibu, where they were responsible for renewing accounts and providing customer satisfaction.

Kate's career began as a Sales Consultant at Billion Automotive, where they called past clients and achieved sales goals.

Kate Phillis, NCCO, NCRM, has a BA Degree in Theatre Arts & Design from the University of Iowa, which they obtained from 2007 to 2011. Kate also has a high school diploma from Louisa-Muscatine HS, which they earned from 2003 to 2007. In terms of additional certifications, Kate has obtained the NAFCU Certified Risk Manager certification from NAFCU in 2022 and the NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer certification from the same institution in 2019.
