Mario Wehbe

Mario Wehbe has a comprehensive work experience in the field of technology and payments processing. Mario is currently serving as the Chief Product Officer at NymCard since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Managing Director at Gentium Payments Processing - A PagoNxt company by Santander Group from November 2020 to May 2022, where they managed all technical and business aspects of the group's main processor and headed product delivery for PagoNxt Merchant Solutions EU.

From October 2009 to November 2020, Mario Wehbe held the position of Vice President Technology at Wirecard Processing FZ-LLC (formerly Procard Services FZ-LLC). Mario was responsible for managing CTO responsibilities, including a $20 million budget, multi-team leadership, and the delivery of projects in both issuing and acquiring payment spaces. During their tenure, they successfully grew the organization from 5 to 150+ employees and expanded its operations into offshore offices in Chennai.

Before joining Wirecard, Mario Wehbe was the IT Manager at Megastores of Lebanon from September 2008 to September 2009. In this role, they managed and maintained corporate IT assets and administered the core retail application, leading to reduced maintenance costs and enhanced security functionality.

From June 2007 to July 2008, they worked as the IT Manager at Procard Services FZ-LLC, where they undertook a complete restructuring of the IT department and initiated a PCI-DSS compliance project.

Mario Wehbe started their career at Al Mawarid Bank in March 2003 and served as a Senior Systems Engineer until May 2007. Mario was responsible for managing network, server, and Windows administration, IT security implementations, and overseeing the implementation of an AS400 upgrade.

Overall, Mario Wehbe has gained extensive experience in various technical and leadership roles in the payments processing and IT sectors.

From 1997 to 2002, Mario Wehbe studied at the University of Balamand, where they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Engineering.
