David Lloyd

David Lloyd has over 20 years of work experience in the field of cybersecurity and information technology. David is currently working as a Solutions Architect at Nymi. Prior to this, they were an Independent Consultant at One-Click.uk.

From 2020 to 2022, David worked as a Senior Security Engineer at Securonix, where they served as a Presales Engineer, helping capture and define customer use cases and demonstrating security analytic capabilities using Kafka and Spark Streaming services.

Before that, they were employed at CGI from 2015 to 2020, where they held various roles including Big Data Consultant, Product Owner, and Security Consultant. In these positions, they translated client requirements, provided technical expertise, and contributed to software development and support.

David started their career in the defense industry, working for companies such as Boeing Defence UK Ltd and C3IA Solutions Ltd. At Boeing, they managed the delivery of the company's first-ever cyber security practice, while at C3IA Solutions, they served as a Security Consultant.

Prior to their corporate career, David served in the British Army from 2009 to 2012 as a Senior Engineering and IT Consultant, where they provided solutions for communication networks and equipment deployments in crisis situations.

David holds a BSc Honours Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Defence College of Communications and Information Systems and also has experience in project management and network system administration through their role at UK National Resilience Support.

David Lloyd completed their BSc (Hons) degree in Telecommunications Systems Engineering from Bournemouth University, which they pursued from 2007 to 2009. During their time at the university, they focused on advanced digital communications, software systems, and computer hardware. In addition to their degree, David has obtained several certifications, including the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in October 2022 and the CESG Certified Professional CCP Security and Information Risk Advisor from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in May 2015. David also holds the CISSP certification from (ISC)², although the specific month and year of its acquisition are unknown.
