Yury Alaverdyan

Head of Manufacturing Engineering at Nyobolt

Yury Alaverdyan is a professional with extensive experience in a variety of roles. Yury began their career in 2003 as a Post Doctoral Researcher at Chalmers University of Technology. Yury then moved to ICFO - Institut de Ciencies Fotoniques in 2012, where they served as an Assistant Professor. In 2007, they joined the University of Cambridge as a Research Associate, and went on to become Head of Research Operations/Facilities at the Cambridge Graphene Centre, as well as a Nanotechnology Research Adviser and Cleanroom Facility Manager. In 2021, Yury joined Ceres as an R&D Team Lead, where they led projects of R&D and technical nature, as well as hiring activities for the department. Yury is currently Head of Manufacturing Engineering at Nyobolt, a position they have held since 2022.

Yury Alaverdyan began their educational journey in 1981 when they attended Music School to study Violin. Yury then went on to Saratov State University named after N.G.Chernyshevsky from 1993 to 1995, where they obtained their Bachelor in Physics. Finally, in 1996 they attended National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute) where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics in 2004. In 2016, Yury Alaverdyan obtained a Leadership in Management - ILM - Level 5 certification from ILM.
