Emile Bacha

Emile Bacha serves as the Chief of the Division of Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center and is a Professor of Surgery at Columbia University. Emile has held the position of Adjunct Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical Center since 2011 and was previously a Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon at Boston Children's Hospital from 2005 to 2009. They completed a fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and have served in various significant roles throughout their career, including Director of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery at the University of Chicago Hospitals. Emile earned their Doctor of Medicine degree from Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München between 1986 and 1989.
