Frederick Ehlert

Program Director, Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship - Columbia Campus

Frederick Ehlert is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center, where they have worked since 2006 and currently specialize in clinical cardiac electrophysiology. In addition to their teaching role, they serve as the Associate Dean for Admissions at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons beginning in 2024. Previously, Frederick was the Director of Physician Development at Columbia HeartSource from 2013 to 2024 and worked as a Cardiac Electrophysiologist at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Center from 1993 to 2006. They also hold the position of Program Director for the Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, which they have held since 2008. Frederick earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, summa cum laude, from Marquette University and obtained an M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
