Tugba Akilli

Tugba Akilli is a dedicated medical professional currently serving as a Resident Doctor in internal medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital since July 2025. Additionally, Tugba holds the position of Clinical Scholar at the American University of Antigua College of Medicine, providing support to peers in their exam preparations. Prior experience includes serving as a Supplemental Instruction Leader at Monmouth University, where collaboration with faculty enhanced students' understanding of natural sciences and anatomy. Furthermore, Tugba contributed to neurobiology research as an Undergraduate Researcher, focusing on GABRA2 receptors, and worked as a Laboratory Assistant, ensuring a productive lab environment. Tugba obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Monmouth University.
