Austin Mitchell

Austin Mitchell is a Supervising Producer with extensive experience in audio production and creative direction. They served as Creative Director of Production at Novel from 2022 to 2023 and previously held the position of Senior Audio Producer at The New York Times from 2020 to 2022. Additionally, Austin created and produced acclaimed podcasts such as The Ballad of Billy Balls and Profiles:NYC, the latter of which was recognized by The Atlantic and the Webby Awards. Before transitioning into audio media, they worked as an actor and were involved in various projects as a producer and creator. Austin earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Columbia University in the City of New York.
