Brandon Root is a Senior Software Engineer at The New York Times, currently contributing to the Beta team. A polyglot software engineer, Brandon previously founded Convea, a project acquired by Shareablee in 2014, and played key roles at Shareablee as an Engineering Team Lead and Product Manager. Brandon also founded Simily and co-founded SchoolSeed, showcasing a diverse entrepreneurial spirit. Educated at Carleton College, Brandon holds a BA in Psychology, graduating in 2007. Prior to their current role, Brandon led a team at Spiteful Critic, an entertainment magazine that garnered over a million visits worldwide.
