Devon Taylor

Devon Taylor currently serves as a Senior Editor at The New York Times since March 2023. Previously, Taylor worked as a Supervising Editor at Gimlet Media from March 2017 to March 2023, where multiple new shows were developed and edited, mentorship was provided to emerging producers, and diverse production teams were led. In addition, Taylor was involved in negotiations as part of a bargaining committee and served as a liaison among various organizational stakeholders. Prior experience includes roles at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University as an Audio Journalism Instructor, freelance writing and editing for notable publications such as The Guardian and The Atlantic, and teaching Creative Writing and Composition at the University of Memphis. Taylor holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Rutgers Law School, an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from the University of Memphis, and a BA in Creative Writing from Susquehanna University.
