John MacDonald

John MacDonald is a seasoned editorial professional with extensive experience at The New York Times since February 2009, currently serving as Senior Staff Editor for both the Metro and Flexible Editing Desk, and previously as Assistant Managing Editor for the Licensing Group. Responsibilities include managing a five-person editing team and overseeing high-quality content curation for a diverse array of syndication clients. John has held editorial roles at notable media outlets, including contributing writings for Pitchfork and Spin.com, and serving as Music Editor for The Faster Times, where John launched its first music section.
