Pat Lyons

Pat Lyons is the Senior Staff Editor at The New York Times. Prior to their current position, they were a Senior Graphic Artist at The Associated Press from January 1986 to December 1991. Pat was responsible for high-volume news and explanatory information graphics, research and production for breaking news, as well as creating and managing the service desk. Pat has also worked as a Graphics Editor at Crain Communications Inc from January 1984 to December 1986, where they were in charge of design, layout, production, graphics, and typography for the startup weekly newsmagazine Crain's New York Business. Pat was also responsible for assigning and editing staff and freelance photography. Pat began their career as Managing Editor at Gralla Publications from January 1981 to December 1984.

Pat Lyons earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication Arts from Cornell University.
