Steve Eder

Reporter

Steve Eder is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in reporting and education. Since October 2012, Eder has served as a reporter for The New York Times, while also holding the position of adjunct professor at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism since January 2018. Prior to these roles, Eder was the national legal correspondent for The Wall Street Journal from November 2010 to October 2012, focusing on hedge funds. Eder's earlier career includes roles as a banking reporter for Reuters and projects reporter for The Blade, along with various internships at notable publications such as the Boston Globe and Cincinnati Enquirer. Eder holds a B.A. in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy from Michigan State University, where attendance spanned from 2000 to 2004.
