Jameson Orvis

Jameson Orvis currently serves as a Bioinformatics Analyst at NYU Langone Health since May 2023. Previously, Jameson held roles as an Artist & Community Analyst and a Music Data Analyst Intern at SoundCloud from June 2021 to May 2023. Prior experience includes an undergraduate researcher position at Alberto Stolfi Lab, where significant contributions were made to the understanding of Netrin1 and Fibronectin-related proteins and transcription factor targets using CRISPR/Cas9 and RNAseq. Jameson's research background is further complemented by a Research Experience for Undergrads (REU) project at Louisiana State University, which involved developing a microfluidic device for antibiotic testing on biofilms affecting Cystic Fibrosis patients. Additional experience encompasses serving as an Intramural Official at Georgia Institute of Technology and leading an Intro to Research class. Jameson holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, after being jointly enrolled at Georgia Southern University.
