Ahmad Amara

Ahmad Amara is a distinguished lecturer at New York University since September 2017 and serves as a lawyer and academic researcher at Amara Consultants since September 2016. As the Director of International Advocacy for the Meezaan Center for Human Rights, Ahmad Amara engages in international legal advocacy and policy development while authoring significant reports and position papers on various pressing issues. Ahmad Amara's academic journey includes positions as a Polonsky postdoctoral Fellow at US Friends of the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute, a visiting lecturer at Bir-Zeit University, and postdoctoral Fellow at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Previously, Ahmad Amara held roles at prestigious institutions including Harvard University, where responsibilities included instructing law students and guiding human rights projects.
