Akim St.omer

Akim St.Omer is a seasoned educational professional with extensive experience in program administration, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across several institutions. Currently serving as a Program Administrator at New York University since January 2023, Akim previously held various leadership roles at the Girl Scouts of Greater New York, including Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism. With a solid background in teaching and communications as an Associate Teacher and Communications Consultant at Ethical Culture Fieldston School, Akim has also contributed to youth development and academic achievement through positions at the Harlem Children's Zone and Prep for Prep. Akim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Boston College.
