Carrie Johnson is a current graduate student at New York University, with extensive experience in journalism and coaching. Serving as a softball instructor at DBAT-Allen since April 2022, Carrie coaches youth in softball and baseball fundamentals. Previous roles include a fellowship with the Native American Journalists Association, a reporter for Underscore Native News, and an Indigenous affairs reporter for Underscore News, where impactful projects such as social media campaigns and documentaries were undertaken. Other experiences include a project internship with Retro Report, sports writing for the Herald Democrat, and producing a memorial video for FNX TV. Carrie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Austin College and has also studied at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
