Colleen Smith

Colleen Smith currently serves as the Dean of the Graduate Experience at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute since August 2015. Prior to this role, Colleen Smith worked as a Project Assistant in the Office of Professional Development at the University of Massachusetts Amherst Graduate School from January 2014 to August 2015, focusing on program coordination for graduate students and postdoctoral students in areas such as communication, teaching, and career preparation. Colleen Smith also held positions as the Director of Transition and Leadership Programs at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design from June 2008 to July 2011 and as a Residential Coordinator at St Lawrence University from 2006 to 2008. Academic credentials include an Education Specialist degree in Education Policy Research & Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst (2011-2017), a Master of Science in College Student Personnel Administration from Canisius University (2004-2006), and a bachelor's degree from Le Moyne College (2000-2004).
