Claudio Silva

Claudio Silva is an accomplished academic and professional in the fields of data science and computer science, currently serving as an Institute Professor and Interim Director of Data Science at New York University since July 2011. With a rich background in academia, Silva holds multiple professorships at New York University and Tandon School of Engineering, and previously served as a professor and associate professor at the University of Utah. Silva has also contributed to the industry as a technical consultant for Major League Baseball and co-founder of VisTrails, Inc. His educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Computer Science and a Master's Degree from Stony Brook University, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from the Federal University of Ceara.
