Erin Grant

Erin Grant is an academic and researcher currently serving as an Assistant Professor and Faculty Fellow at the Center for Data Science at New York University since September 2025. Prior experience includes positions as a Research Fellow at the Gatsby Computational Neuroscience Unit and a Senior Research Fellow at the Sainsbury Wellcome Centre for Neural Circuits and Behaviour from September 2022 to August 2025. Erin has also worked as a Research Scientist Intern at DeepMind, focusing on complexity and generalization gap quantification for large-scale models. Earlier roles include a Student Researcher and Research Intern at Google, contributing to research on few-shot learning and generative training. Additionally, Erin interned at OpenAI, researching emergent communication in multi-agent decision-making. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.Sc. (Honours) in Computer Science and Statistics from the University of Toronto.
