Esther Jung

Esther Jung is an undergraduate researcher at New York University's RNA-Mind Lab, focusing on the effects of the YTHDF1 reader protein on B-actin dynamics in dendritic spines under the supervision of Dr. Dan Ohtan Wang. Esther also serves as an Admissions Ambassador, assisting prospective students during the admissions process. Previous experiences include a clinical research internship at Seoul National University Hospital under Prof. Ki Woong Kim, as well as involvement in NYU's Student Government Assembly, where Esther contributed through the Sophomore Year Class Committee and the Core Curriculum Advisory Committee. Additional internships include a summer research position at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, utilizing super-resolution microscopy, and various roles including barista and dental assistant. Esther Jung is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology at New York University, expected to graduate in May 2026, following an IB Diploma from West Vancouver Secondary.
