Geoff Brown

Geoff Brown is a seasoned cybersecurity expert currently serving as a member of The Aspen Institute since August 2022 and as a visiting professor at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey since January 2022, focusing on cybersecurity and intelligence. Additionally, Brown contributes to New York University as an advisor and mentor for the Master of Science in Cybersecurity Risk and Strategy for Executives. Previously, Brown held significant roles such as President and Chief Operating Officer at Arete, Vice President of Global Intelligence Platforms at Recorded Future, and Head of NYC Cyber Command and Chief Information Security Officer for the City of New York. Notable career achievements include developing enterprise cybersecurity strategies for NYC and overseeing cyber-related initiatives at First Data Corporation and JPMorgan Chase & Co. Brown's foundational education includes a Bachelor's degree from Middlebury College.
