Jay van Bavel

Jay Van Bavel, PhD, is a distinguished social neuroscientist currently serving as the Social Psychology Program Coordinator and Professor of Psychology & Neural Science at New York University, where research focuses on social identity and morality. In addition to directing the NYU Social Identity & Morality Lab, Jay co-authored "The Power of Us" and works as a keynote speaker on themes of groups and identity. Jay holds an affiliate professorship in Management and Organizations at NYU Stern School of Business and has held various positions, including behavioral science consultant at MindGym and senior scientist at the NeuroLeadership Institute. Jay's academic background includes a PhD in Psychology from the University of Toronto and a BA in Psychology from the University of Alberta.
