Michael Lau

Michael Lau has extensive experience in the music industry, currently serving as Treasurer, National Chair, and President of the New York Chapter for the Association of Independent Music Publishers since January 2019. Lau is also a mentor for the Asian American Collective and an assistant professor at Berklee College of Music, where a course on Publishing Royalty Administration was developed. Additionally, Lau is involved with several organizations as an advisory board member or consultant, including MyPart Inc., Jammber, and The Mechanical Licensing Collective. Lau's entrepreneurial venture, Laud Music, has been in operation since 1999, focusing on music supervision and rights clearance, among other services. Lau holds a Bachelor's degree in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music.
